Su Shi’s “one straw cloak, life in mist and rain” embodies a Daoist equanimity; Marquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude traces one family’s fate as a mirror of existence and freedom. This piece places both in the same visual field—calligraphy as the medium for that dialogue.
